Originally, I began Pancakes for the Mentally Ill in 2001 after watching an episode of Real World Road Rules. When we couldn’t figure out why the program wasn’t working, we realized, even mentally ill people don’t eat pancakes without syrup… so I started Syrup for the Mentally Ill. And the two programs seem to be working well together.
