Lewis Black Leads Programs, Jimmy Kimmel Among New Honorary Board Members


Indianapolis, IN April 12, 2018 - Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library (KVML), which opened its doors seven years ago with strong Governance, Advisory, and Honorary Boards, is pleased to announce several new high-profile additions to its Honorary boards.
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel joins the organization's Honorary Board as fellow comedian and current honorary board member, Lewis Black, has been named the Honorary Programming Chair for 2018. This year’s theme is “Lonesome No More,” a Vonnegut phrase from the book Slapstick.

We're tearing down the famed Ohio Turnpike and the snow is getting thicker. And it's April. Springtime! Cherry Blossoms! Green trees and warm weather.

T.S. Eliot was right again: it does seem cruel. I think William Carlos Williams called it the “slattern of seasons.”

Just look at Lewis, strolling from the Bus to a turnpike truckstop. He never did like winter.


March 18-Out of the South

We were holed up again this weekend at Atlantic City's Borgata casino after that long romp through the South.

Saturday night, the show ended with a toast to the gambling palace from Tour Manager Ben, Lewis and John, commemorating more than 100 performances the Black circus mounted there over the years. It also celebrated twice as many live broadcasts that the guys have done since beginning the "Rant Is Due" phenomenon.
