Lewis Black's Tour Bus Adventures

Lewis is reunited with his tour bus and the road. While live shows are still not possible, being back on the bus offers a reprieve and the comfort of seeing the United States pass by through the window. After a lifetime on the road, having to sit in one place too long during a pandemic offers its own set of torment.

On the road with no particular place to go.

A visit with Jeannette, my Mom. She wasn't going to come out to see me but she made an exception. Her parting shot was "You'd better find someone to love you because nobody does." Then she blew me kisses.

Shenandoah National Park

Started out my tour of the US with trips to Shenandoah National Park, where the Skyline Drive doesn't get the credit it should.

Gettysburg

Followed it up by touring Gettysburg. Took five hours. Three CDs of narration telling the story of the Battle. I would have lasted 6 minutes in that battle. Maybe 8. Might not have even gotten out of bed.

Lake Michigamme

Current situation: Lake Michigamme, Michigan. No idea where I'll be next.

Aug 20 - I am on Lake Michigamme. Driving a boat for the first time. No other boats were on the lake so no one was in danger. Maybe there was some sort of nautical alert that went out when I took the wheel.

Aug 26:  This is the cabin I just stayed at. I know it will be hard for you to believe but I helped build it just after college. It is why our leader told me he is going to announce at the convention he believes I am the Abe Lincoln of Comedy. If not, it won't be the first time he lied.
